The Akira ransomware group has claimed responsibility for a cyberattack against two US-based companies, adding them to its data leak site. The group alleges it has exfiltrated sensitive data from both organizations and is threatening to make it public.
The latest list of alleged victims posted by the group includes:
- General Micro Systems (GMS) (🇺🇸): A California-based company that designs and manufactures high-density, rugged servers, and embedded computing systems for defense and industrial applications.
- Palacios Marine Industrial (PMI) (🇺🇸): A Texas-based general mechanical contractor that provides service solutions to the petrochemical, refining, and power generation industries.
According to the actor, a significant amount of data was exfiltrated from both organizations.

- Detailed project information
- Client information
- Financials
- Confidential military information
- Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs)
- Confidential files from Intel concerning Thunderbolt
From Palacios Marine Industrial, the group claims to have stolen:
