Alleged Data Breach at Embase: Threat Actor Claims Access to Sensitive Student and Financial Records

A dark web forum post by a threat actor alleges a significant data breach involving eGov.Embase.in, a comprehensive e-governance platform purportedly handling various administrative functions. The forum post claims to possess multiple files containing sensitive student, financial, and administrative records.

According to the threat actor’s claims, the files from eGov.Embase.in reportedly contain:

• Comprehensive student details, including full names, admission numbers, programs, and contact information.
• Application and admission details, including CAP IDs, birth dates, mobile numbers, and program selections.
• Records of fees, dues, receipt numbers, and payment methods, reportedly linking payments to individual students and their courses and staff and administrative records.

Threat actor also included samples from the alleged leak.
