Alp-001 Ransomware Hits KOB, Knewin, Kyocera, Lacor & Polsat

The Alp-001 ransomware group claims to have breached several international organizations across diverse sectors. The latest list of alleged victims posted by the group includes:

  • KOB 4 (🇺🇸): A prominent news, weather, and sports broadcaster serving Albuquerque and New Mexico.

  • Knewin (🇧🇷): A large Latin American media monitoring, big data analytics, and intelligence platform.

  • Kyocera Document Solutions Europe (🇬🇧): A major provider in the office products retail and distribution industry, headquartered in Reading, Berkshire.

  • Lacor (🇪🇸): A Spanish corporate entity.

  • Polsat (🇵🇱): The first independent television station in Poland, offering a mix of brand productions and feature films.

According to the actor, the allegedly compromised data includes substantial storage volumes from each organization:

  • 1.127 TB of data from KOB 4

  • 182.71 GB of data from Lacor

  • 176.5 GB of data from Knewin

  • 75.71 GB of data from Polsat

  • 75 GB of data from Kyocera Document Solutions Europe
