The J ransomware group claims to have breached the United States-based software company, Dimensional Control Systems (DCS). DCS provides software solutions that support Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) and Quality Management initiatives for the automotive, aerospace, medical device, and other high-tech industries.
According to the group, 11 GB of data was exfiltrated from the company’s systems. The allegedly compromised data includes:
- Proprietary software architecture and documentation.
- Configuration files for integrations with CAE, HPC, and PLM systems.
- Client-side metadata defining business objects, user permissions, and audit trails.
- Sensitive legal documents, including certificates and insurance policies.
- Internal procedures for backups, technical support, and security.
