Distinctive Systems Data Breach: INC Ransom Group Claims Attack

Distinctive Systems Ltd, a leading UK-based provider of management software for the coach, bus, and tour industry, has reportedly been compromised by the INC Ransom group. The company, which supports over 2,600 systems globally across the UK, USA, and Australia, is a critical infrastructure provider for private hire and vehicle maintenance management. The threat actor listed the company on their extortion portal on January 29, 2026, claiming to have exfiltrated sensitive corporate data.

According to the actor, the allegedly compromised data includes a broad range of sensitive internal documentation and regulatory filings. Based on evidence provided by the group, the following data types are involved:

  • Financial Records: Revenue data and internal financial reports.

  • Legal and Regulatory Documents: Signed Environmental Statements and Health and Safety policies.

  • Contractual Agreements: Standard Terms and Conditions of Sale and maintenance service contracts.

  • Client Information: Details related to software support and site addresses for hardware maintenance.

  • Internal Operations: Management software configurations and training materials.
