The Everest ransomware group has allegedly published a full cache of data purportedly belonging to Jordan Kuwait Bank (JKB), following an initial attack reportedly occurring on April 26, 2025. Jordan Kuwait Bank is a financial institution offering a comprehensive suite of banking services. As a significant entity in the financial sector, the bank is responsible for vast quantities of sensitive customer and proprietary information. The ransomware group claims to have released the data now because a set deadline for negotiations expired.
The attackers assert that the published data trove contains highly sensitive information. The compromised files allegedly include employees’ personal data, with a total of 1003 personal records exposed. Furthermore, the group contends that 11.7 GB of internal company data, encompassing internal and confidential information, has been made public.
