Genesis Ransomware Group Strikes Multiple Firms in USA and Malaysia

The Genesis ransomware group claims to have compromised five new organizations across the construction, real estate, and technology sectors. The latest list of alleged victims posted by the group includes:

  • Curtis Investment Group, Inc. (🇺🇸): A full-service real estate firm specializing in managing commercial, retail, and industrial properties in the greater Washington DC area.

  • PJSI Consultants SDN BHD. (🇲🇾): An architecture and design firm that undertakes public and private infrastructure projects.

  • Data Enterprises of the Northwest (🇺🇸): A company that offers the Automated Tool Inventory Control and Tracking System (ATICTS) for military and industrial applications.

  • Petro Environmental (🇺🇸): An environmental services firm specializing in remediation and civil site development.

  • Rose Displays (🇺🇸): A retail display solutions provider offering custom fixtures, signware, and illuminated displays.

According to the actor, the total exfiltrated data exceeds 11 TB across the five victims. The allegedly compromised data includes:

  • Financial and tax data

  • Human Resources (HR) data

  • Contracts and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), including those with major brands

  • Project data, blueprints, and technical specifications

  • SQL backups and network user folders

  • Sales records and proposals

  • Property management and real estate data
