The Global ransomware group has allegedly claimed responsibility for a cyberattack against RUKU Tore + Türen GmbH, a prominent German manufacturer. The announcement appeared on the threat actor’s dark web blog, indicating that the company’s data has been compromised. RUKU has a long-standing reputation, with over 160 years of experience in high-quality woodworking, specializing in doors and gates. The company is known for its craftsmanship and works with partners both domestically and internationally.
According to the post made by the ransomware group, the stolen data is scheduled to be released on August 13, 2025, if their demands are not met. The attackers have published a countdown timer on their blog, increasing the pressure on the German company. At this time, the specific types of data that were allegedly exfiltrated during the security incident have not been detailed by the group. The claim marks another instance of a well-established European industrial company being targeted by organized cybercriminals.
