INC Ransom Claims Data Breach of TruStar Holdings and VIST Labs

The INC Ransom group claims to have breached TruStar Holdings, LLC and VIST Labs, LLC, two affiliated technology firms based in Schaumburg, Illinois. TruStar Holdings specializes in advanced packaging systems and materials for the food, pharmaceutical, and cannabis industries, while VIST Labs focuses on pharmaceutical-grade cannabis decontamination and sterilization technologies.

The latest list of alleged victims posted by the group includes:

  • TruStar Holdings, LLC (🇺🇸): A developer and supplier of multilayer flexible packaging films, rigid trays, and custom packaging equipment for perishable goods.

  • VIST Labs, LLC (🇺🇸): A biotechnology and engineering firm providing mobile, end-to-end solutions for the screening, decontamination, and packaging of cannabis products.

According to the actor, the volume of exfiltrated data totaling 1.4 TB includes highly sensitive corporate and technical information. The allegedly compromised data includes:

  • Full company data

  • Development drawings and blueprints

  • Confidential files

  • Investor company records

  • Full financial transaction history

  • Equipment specifications

  • Regulatory violations and compliance records

  • Signed legal agreements and NDAs
