The INC Ransom group has allegedly claimed responsibility for a cyberattack against Michelli Weighing & Measurement, a significant player in the US industrial measurement and calibration sector. Michelli, a company with a long history dating back to 1947, is a trusted provider of ISO 9001 certified services across thirty-seven locations in the United States. They specialize in the calibration and repair of precision instruments for a wide range of industries, making them a critical component of their clients’ quality assurance and operational processes.
The ransomware group has allegedly threatened to release 82GB of data purportedly exfiltrated from the company’s network. As proof of their claim, the attackers have released a file list that suggests the compromised data is highly sensitive. The leak of such information could potentially impact Michelli’s operations and expose confidential data belonging to their clients.
The allegedly stolen data includes:
- Customer-specific work orders and task tickets
- A2LA Approved ISO certification documents
- Documents containing specific customer and equipment IDs
