Ingenieurbüro Laudi (IBL), a German engineering firm specializing in energy and supply technology (Gesellschaft für Energie- und Versorgungstechnik mbH), has allegedly been compromised by the Brotherhood ransomware group. The group, which operates a dark web leak site, has listed the Essen-based company as a victim. IBL provides planning and consulting services for technical building equipment, including heating, ventilation, and electrical systems, often working on projects for major entities like Siemens and FC Schalke 04.
According to the actor, a total of 143 GB of data has been exfiltrated from the company’s systems, split between a 4 GB “free” archive and a 139 GB “paid” archive. The allegedly compromised data includes:
-
Financial Documents: Budget offers, cost calculations, and invoice correspondence (e.g., Budgetangebot_Emscher).
-
Legal Agreements: Signed confidentiality agreements (NDAs) and contracts, including documents related to FC Schalke 04.
-
Technical Data: Ventilation calculations (Berechnung Raumluftmengen), floor plans, and project specifications.
-
Project Correspondence: Emails and letters involving clients and partners such as Siemens and church communities (Ev. Kirchengemeinde Broich-Saarn).
-
Internal Files: Employee names, administrative records, and operational files.
