The ransomware group known as “Interlock” has allegedly added two new U.S.-based victims to its data leak site. The group claims to have successfully breached the systems of a government entity and a private law firm, publishing proof of the attacks. The targeted organizations are Box Elder County from Utah and the Epperson Law Group.
The alleged victims of the Interlock ransomware group include:
- 🇺🇸 Box Elder County: A county government in the northwestern part of Utah, described as a location for wildlife viewing and various recreational activities.
- 🇺🇸 Epperson Law Group: A U.S. law firm. The ransomware actors accused the firm of being “negligent and indifferent to their safety,” which allegedly resulted in the data compromise.
Interlock claims to have exfiltrated a massive trove of data from both entities. From Box Elder County, the group allegedly stole approximately
GB of data, containing files in folders. For Epperson Law Group, the compromised data allegedly amounts to GB, consisting of files in folders. The group has not yet detailed the specific contents of the stolen files.
