Karndean International, LLC, a prominent global supplier of luxury vinyl flooring, has allegedly become the latest victim of a significant cyberattack. The ransom group known as Crypto24 has claimed responsibility for the breach, targeting the US-based company known for its innovative and stylish flooring solutions sold in numerous countries. The attack puts the company’s sensitive corporate and personal data at risk, potentially impacting its operations, employees, and customer base.
The threat actors announced the data breach by publishing a notice claiming they have exfiltrated over 600GB of sensitive information from the company’s network, and have already leaked 300GB of it. According to their claims, the compromised files contain a wide array of confidential data. The group has listed the types of allegedly stolen information, which includes:
- Financial information
- Technical and operational data
- Personal information of customers and employees
- Strategic business plans
