The Liberia Institute of Statistics and Geo-Information Services (LISGIS), the autonomous government agency responsible for collecting, managing, and analyzing statistical and geo-spatial data for the country, has allegedly been compromised. A database claiming to belong to the agency has surfaced on a cybercrime forum, where an unknown party is attempting to sell the information for $80.
The allegedly compromised data includes a variety of sensitive internal and citizen-submitted records. According to the actor, the exposed information contains:
