LockBit 5.0 Hits Insight Hospital, Berjaya Air & Others

The LockBit ransomware group claims to have breached multiple organizations, adding six new victims to their new blog domain LockBit 5.0. This latest batch brings the total number of victims listed on the website to 23. The group has published countdown timers for each victim, threatening to release data if demands are not met. The latest list of alleged victims posted by the group includes:

  • Insight Hospital and Medical Center 🇺🇸: A Chicago-based healthcare facility offering comprehensive medical and surgical services.

  • Montaury Pimenta, Machado & Vieira de Mello 🇧🇷: A leading Brazilian Intellectual Property (IP) law firm specializing in complex IP litigation and enforcement.

  • Berjaya Air 🇲🇾: A Malaysian airline established as part of the Berjaya Group, operating out of Subang Skypark Terminal.

  • Brumfield Construction, Inc. 🇺🇸: A professional commercial and residential construction company based in Aberdeen, Washington.

  • R J Walker 🇺🇸: A family-owned plumbing, heating, electrical, and cooling supply business operating for six decades.

  • Jobbers Moving and Storage 🇺🇸: A moving and storage company associated with Allied Van Lines.

According to the actor, the volume and nature of the data vary by victim. Specifically regarding Insight Hospital and Medical Center, the group alleges to have exfiltrated sensitive information. The allegedly compromised data includes:

  • Almost 200 gigabytes of “medical secrets”

  • Confidential healthcare records

  • Internal company documents
