Medusa Ransomware Attacks Nationwide Legal, MFE Formwork, and Others

The Medusa Ransomware group claims to have breached multiple organizations across the globe, listing them on their dark web leak site. The group has published countdown timers and ransom demands for each alleged victim, threatening to leak proprietary data if their demands are not met.

The latest list of alleged victims posted by the group includes:

  • Nationwide Legal LLC (🇺🇸): A leading litigation support and legal services company based in Los Angeles, California. They provide process serving, court reporting, and investigation services to law firms and government agencies across the United States.

  • MFE Formwork Technology (🇲🇾): A global leader in aluminium formwork solutions headquartered in Malaysia. The company specializes in precision-engineered building systems and operates in over 50 countries.

  • FDC Interiors (🇦🇪): An interior design and construction firm based in Dubai, UAE. They specialize in creating luxurious spaces and high-end environments for prestigious brands and commercial clients.

  • General Distributing (🇺🇸): A distribution company based in Utah, operating within the convenience store, gas station, and liquor store industries.

According to the actor, the compromised systems contain significant amounts of sensitive internal information. The group has provided proofs of the exfiltration, including screenshots of file directories and specific documents. The allegedly compromised data includes:

  • Financial documents (including scanned checks and invoices)

  • Internal spreadsheets and operational logs

  • Client and litigation support records

  • Employee databases and payroll information

  • Corporate file structures and project plans
