Meow Ransomware Group Claims to Hack and Sell Data from Three Firms

The Meow ransomware group has announced that they have successfully breached three companies, offering their stolen data for sale. The compromised data includes sensitive client information, financial records, and even details on nuclear production and city operations.

  • Andersen Tax
    • Price: $300
    • Data Compromised: Three SQL databases
    • Details: The databases reportedly contain crucial information such as sensitive client data and financial records. The relatively low price tag indicates an attempt to quickly monetize the stolen data.

  • Nuclep (nuclep.gov.br)
    • Price: $500,000
    • Data Compromised: Over 250GB
    • Details: This extensive collection includes files related to defense production, nuclear material extraction, military nuclear submarines, AutoCAD designs, videos and photos of uranium extraction, oil and gas data, geographic coordinates, and employee data (emails, passwords, names, etc.). The highly sensitive nature of this data could attract significant interest from media, government entities, and industrial espionage actors.

  • Miami Gardens, Florida
    • Price: $500,000
    • Details: The stolen records allegedly reveal numerous secrets about the city’s internal operations. This data is poised to attract attention from various sectors interested in uncovering potential business insights or security vulnerabilities.
