Manchester-based airport transfer service, MMA Transfers, has allegedly been targeted by the D4rk4rmy ransomware group, resulting in the exfiltration of 74GB of sensitive data. The company, founded in 2016, is a prominent name in the UK’s travel industry, offering professional airport transfer services from Manchester to various destinations across the country. With a fleet of 110 professional drivers, MMA Transfers provides 24/7 transportation for a wide range of clients, including business travelers, families on vacation, and event attendees, priding itself on safety, punctuality, and customer comfort.
The D4rk4rmy group, a relatively new but aggressive ransomware operator, has claimed responsibility for the attack, which is said to have occurred on August 12, 2025. The group has threatened to release the stolen data unless a ransom is paid. The compromised information allegedly includes a vast amount of both corporate and personal data, which could have significant implications for the company and its clients.
The exfiltrated data reportedly includes:
- All Driver and Client Data
- Fleet Paperwork
- Insurance and Registration Documents
- KYC (Know Your Customer) for all Drivers
- Corporate Documents
