Mohammed VI Polytechnic University Allegedly Hit by Data Breach

A threat actor has allegedly leaked sensitive data belonging to the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) of Morocco. The claim was made on a popular cybercrime forum, stating that private information from the university has been exposed and published on the Telegram messaging platform. UM6P is a prestigious non-profit research university located in Benguerir, Morocco, known for its focus on science, technology, and sustainable development, making it a significant institution in Africa’s educational landscape.

According to the post made by the cybercriminal, the leaked dataset contains highly personal and sensitive information belonging to individuals associated with the university. The breach raises serious privacy concerns for students, faculty, and staff whose data may have been compromised. The actor did not specify the total volume of the data or the method used to obtain it.
