Newsan, a leading Argentine electronics manufacturer and distributor, has allegedly been compromised. A threat actor has posted a database for sale on a cybercrime forum, claiming it contains 1.4 million rows of user information. The data, which the actor states was exported from newsan.com.ar, is currently being offered for a price of $2,000 USD. The seller claims the dataset contains over 900,000 unique telephone numbers and nearly 900,000 unique email addresses.
According to the samples provided by the actor, the allegedly compromised data is extensive and includes significant Personally Identifiable Information (PII). The exposed fields include:
