NoName057(16) DDoS Attacks Hit Multiple Israeli Websites

The pro-Russian hacktivist group NoName057(16) claims to have conducted a series of distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks against several Israeli targets. Operating under the campaign tag #OpIsrael, the known threat actor group, which typically targets nations perceived as hostile to Russian interests, aims to disrupt online services as a form of political retaliation.

The latest list of alleged victims posted by the group includes:

  • Rosh HaAyin City Portal (🇮🇱): The official municipal website providing services and information for the city of Rosh HaAyin.

  • Umm al-Fahm City Portal (🇮🇱): The official municipal website providing services and information for the city of Umm al-Fahm.

  • Shas (🇮🇱): The official website of the Israeli ultra-Orthodox political party.

According to the actor’s Telegram post and their provided host-check reports, the coordinated traffic floods resulted in the targeted servers dropping connections. The allegedly impacted services include:

  • General website availability (resulting in connection timeouts and aborted connection errors)

  • Public access to online municipal resources and local government announcements

  • Public access to political party communications and platforms
