NoName057(16) Launches Coordinated DDoS Attacks on Cyprus

The NoName057(16) hacktivist group claims to have launched a series of coordinated Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks against several prominent targets in Cyprus. The latest list of alleged victims posted by the group includes:

  • Register of insurance companies (🇨🇾): The official national registry overseeing insurance providers and compliance.

  • Organization of local government of Limassol (🇨🇾): The administrative body responsible for municipal operations in the city of Limassol.

  • JCC Payment Systems (🇨🇾): A major regional electronic payment gateway and card processing system.

  • Authorization Audit Office of the Republic of Cyprus (🇨🇾): An independent state auditing body that oversees public finances.

  • Cyprus Statistics Service (🇨🇾): The official national agency responsible for compiling and publishing demographic and economic data.

  • Cyprus Government Portal (🇨🇾): The central digital gateway for citizens to access state services and information.

  • Live Buses OSYPA (🇨🇾): An online public utility tracking board for municipal transportation.

  • EAC portal of the Cyprus Electricity Authority (🇨🇾): The online portal for the state-owned electricity provider.

  • Supreme Court of Cyprus (🇨🇾): The highest court within the Cypriot judicial system.

  • Ministry of Justice (🇨🇾): The government department responsible for law, order, and public safety.

  • Cyprus Ports Authority (🇨🇾): The national authority managing port operations, which the actors noted was closed by geo-blocking.
