A threat actor claims to have breached Parivesh, an online portal operated by the Indian government to streamline environmental, forest, and wildlife clearance processes. The breach, which reportedly occurred in September 2025 via the site’s developer portal, has allegedly resulted in the public leak of a database containing over 1.2 million user records, a significant portion of which belong to government officials.
According to the actor, the compromised data includes a wide range of personal, official, and financial information. The allegedly exfiltrated data includes:
- Full names
- Email addresses
- Phone numbers
- Dates of birth
- Gender
- Official designations and employee codes
- Bank account details (Account name, number, and IFSC code)
