Qilin Attack Hits Scientology, Kana Pipeline & Others

The Qilin ransomware group claims to have breached multiple organizations across several countries, listing them on their dark web leak site. The latest list of alleged victims posted by the group includes:

  • Kana Pipeline Inc (🇺🇸): A civil engineering and construction company based in California, specializing in underground pipeline construction.

  • Medisend (🇺🇸): The College of Biomedical Engineering Technology, an educational non-profit located in Dallas, Texas.

  • Espaço Casa (🇵🇹): A prominent home goods and interior decor retail chain based in Portugal.

  • Maset (🇪🇸): Maset Vinos y Cavas, a direct-to-consumer winery and distributor based in Spain.

  • Peter Meijer Architect (🇺🇸): An architecture and historic preservation firm located in Portland, Oregon.

  • Institutional & Supermarket Equipment (🇺🇸): A network of refrigeration, HVAC, and food service vendors headquartered in Florida.

  • McManes Law (🇺🇸): A personal injury law firm based in Alpharetta, Georgia.

  • Scientology (🇬🇧): The “Advanced Organization Saint Hill” (AOSH UK) branch of the Church of Scientology, based in the United Kingdom, appears to be the specific target based on leaked documents.

According to the actor, the compromised data includes a significant volume of internal files. The group has listed specific data metrics for several victims:

  • Kana Pipeline Inc: 334,950 files (450 GB)

  • Medisend: 45,205 files (303 GB)

  • Maset: 5,356 files (17 GB)

  • Espaço Casa: 13 photos and unspecified documents including invoices.

  • Scientology: Internal documents such as “Completed Staff Work” and visa applications.
