Qilin Hits Club Atlético River Plate, MG CPA, Shah Law, and Josh Steel

The Qilin ransomware group claims to have compromised several high-profile organizations globally, including a major South American sports institution and professional service firms in North America. The latest list of alleged victims posted by the group includes:

  • Club Atlético River Plate (🇦🇷): Based in Buenos Aires, it is one of Argentina’s most prestigious and successful professional sports clubs, featuring a massive international fan base and significant commercial operations.

  • MG Chartered Professional Accountant (🇨🇦): A Canadian accounting firm providing specialized taxation, auditing, and financial consulting services to corporate and individual clients.

  • Shah Law Office (🇨🇦): A Toronto-based legal practice focusing on real estate law, business law, wills and estates, and notary services.

  • Josh Steel (🇺🇸): An American industrial machinery and scrap metal recycling company providing essential services to the manufacturing and construction sectors.

According to the actor, the breach has resulted in the exfiltration of sensitive internal documentation. The allegedly compromised data includes:

  • Financial payment orders

  • Corporate receipts and transaction logs

  • Client tax and accounting records

  • Legal contracts and affidavits

  • Internal financial statements

  • Passport and identification details of associated personnel
