The Qilin ransomware group has allegedly targeted Adiantes, a prominent Thailand-based manufacturer specializing in premium sustainable leather goods. Formerly known as Krusell Thailand Co Ltd, Adiantes produces high-quality handmade items such as handbags and accessories for a diverse international clientele, with significant markets in Thailand, Japan, and Germany. The company is recognized for its bespoke product design and commitment to ethical production, making this alleged breach a potential threat to its operational integrity and client relationships.
Threat actors have allegedly released a trove of sensitive data exfiltrated from the company’s systems. The leak appears to be comprehensive, exposing the inner workings of Adiantes’ business, from financial dealings to proprietary product information. The compromised data allegedly includes sensitive financial documents, detailed customer sales information, and the personal identification of at least one employee, highlighting a severe privacy and security failure. This incident could have significant repercussions, impacting not only Adiantes but also its international partners whose design and order information may now be exposed.
The allegedly leaked data includes:
- Financial documents, including invoices, tax forms, and internal audit letters
- Customer sales data, detailing orders, pricing, and profit margins
- Confidential product design specifications and technical drawings for clients
- Production and inventory management spreadsheets
- Employee Personally Identifiable Information (PII), including a national ID card
