Qilin Ransomware Hits Nepes, Spitzer Auto Group & Others

Qilin Ransomware Hits Nepes, Spitzer Auto Group & Others

The Qilin ransomware group claims to have breached multiple organizations across the United States, Denmark, and South Korea. The latest list of alleged victims posted by the group includes:

  • Greene Metal Products (🇺🇸): A US-based manufacturer of building materials.

  • The Parkes Companies (🇺🇸): A commercial and residential construction firm based in the United States.

  • Oxford Rehabilitation Center (🇺🇸): A healthcare and rehabilitation facility located in Philadelphia.

  • Spitzer Auto Group (🇺🇸): A large automotive dealership network providing sales and business services.

  • Jeff D’Ambrosio (🇺🇸): An automotive dealership group offering business services.

  • Stipe & Belote (listed as Personal Injury) (🇺🇸): A law firm specializing in legal services and personal injury cases.

  • Dan Technologies Group (🇩🇰): A provider of audio, video, transmission, and digital media solutions.

  • Nepes (🇰🇷): A major South Korean electronics and semiconductor corporation.

According to the actor, a significant volume of data was exfiltrated from several of the victims. The proof of compromise displays varying amounts of data, including 40 GB from Spitzer Auto Group, 25 GB from Dan Technologies Group, and over 1.5 TB (1,500 GB) from Nepes. The allegedly compromised data includes:

  • Internal company files

  • Business documents

  • Employee and client records

  • Financial data
