RipperSec, a well-known cybercriminal group, has decided to leave Telegram due to concerns about the platform’s cooperation with government authorities. In their statement, they expressed frustration with Telegram founder Pavel Durov. Once viewed as a defender against government interference, Durov now collaborates with authorities to track users on the platform.
The group voiced their disappointment, stating, “Durov becomes a government slave. In the end, all of us will be arrested by the government.” After discussing with their team, they chose to back up their channel and relocate their operations to Signal and Discord. These platforms, they believe, offer better security for their communications.
RipperSec’s exit highlights the growing number of dark web groups leaving Telegram in response to its new policies.
