Salesforce, Inc. (Salesforce), the American cloud software giant, has confirmed it will not negotiate with or pay a ransom to the threat actors behind a recent, widespread data theft. The company has communicated its firm stance to its clients, choosing to defy the demands of the Scattered LAPSUS$ Hunters extortion group.
The refusal has prompted a direct and public response from the attackers. In a message posted to their Telegram channel, the group openly challenged Salesforce’s decision, urging the company to “engage with us privately so we can resolve this once and for all.” The group also issued a warning to the 39 affected Salesforce customers, advising them to negotiate directly as their “SaaS provider is not here to save you,” escalating the pressure on all parties involved.
