Security Breach Exposes Sensitive Data from Moscow Clinical Research Center Database

A purported leak of the Moscow Clinical Research Center’s database, attributed to a threat actor, has raised concerns over data privacy and security. The MKNC, officially known as MKNC named after A.S. Loginova, stands as a prominent multidisciplinary institution within the Moscow Department of Health, tracing its origins back to its formation in 2013 from the Central Research Institute of Gastroenterology. Renamed in honor of Academician Anatoly Sergeevich Loginov in 2017, the center holds significant medical research and patient data.

According to reports, the leaked dataset, comprising 238,531 lines of data in CSV format, allegedly originated in the year 2023. This extensive breach encompasses a plethora of user information, ranging from identifiers such as user ID and gender to more sensitive details like passwords, email addresses, and IP addresses.
