Sinobi Ransomware Hits Seward County and Erie Molded Plastics

The Sinobi ransomware group has listed new alleged victims on their dark web leak site. The latest list of alleged victims posted by the group includes:

  • Seward County, KS (πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ): A county located in Kansas, established in 1873 with its county seat in Liberal. The group lists the publication category as “Encrypted” and indicates a “Small leak” has been published.

  • Erie Molded Plastics (πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ): A custom injection molding and integrated packaging solutions company based in Erie, Pennsylvania. The company, known for its EMP Closures line and ISO 9001:2008 certification, operates a temperature-controlled facility with over 20 molding presses. The group claims to have encrypted the organization’s systems.

According to the actor, the compromised data includes distinct sets for each victim.

For Seward County, KS, the leak is described as a “Small leak” and categorized under:

  • Financial data

For Erie Molded Plastics, the group claims to have exfiltrated 130 GB of data, categorized as:

  • Financial data

  • Contracts

  • Incidents
