Slovenia Targeted by Cyber Attacks Amidst Growing Tensions Over Support for Ukraine

In a concerning development, the Unknowns group is purported to have orchestrated a series of disruptive Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks targeting key state websites in Slovenia. Allegedly motivated by Slovenia’s support for Ukraine, the group has aimed its cyber onslaught at critical entities, including the official website of the Government of Slovenia, the largest commercial bank (NLB), and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Adding to the escalating cyber tension, the CyberDragon group has ominously declared its intention to join the fray, following the Cyber Army of Russia group that targets Slovenia, citing the reason that Slovenia has joined the Czech initiative to purchase ammunition for Ukraine.

With the first salvo fired, CyberDragon has initiated their offensive by launching a DDoS attack on the website of the Slovenian government, further heightening cybersecurity concerns in the region.
