SUNAFIL Peru Hit by Black Shrantac Ransomware Group Data Breach

The Black Shrantac ransomware group claims to have breached the Superintendencia Nacional de Fiscalización Laboral (SUNAFIL). SUNAFIL is the government agency in Peru responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. The group has listed the agency on their leak site, asserting possession of significant internal files totaling approximately 200 GB. Samples provided by the group appear to show internal resolutions, attendance logs, and regional contact directories.

According to the actor, the allegedly compromised data includes:

  • Labor Inspection Reports (Inspection findings, violation reports, and audit results)

  • Complaints and Legal Disputes (Investigation information, legal actions, and settlements)

  • Personal Email Data and Information

  • Internal administrative spreadsheets containing employee names, phone numbers, and emails
