Reports have emerged regarding a purported data breach affecting The Post Millennial, a prominent conservative Canadian online news magazine. According to claims made by a threat actor, DevEye, the The Post Millennial was hacked in May 2024 by someone calling themselves “Angelina (Andy) Ngo”.
The alleged leak encompasses a variety of sensitive information, including a mailing list containing over 39,000 rows of user data. This data reportedly includes email addresses, usernames, full names, display names, and phone numbers. Additionally, the threat actor asserts access to a partial editors list of The Post Millennial, which contains emails, phone numbers, country details, addresses, full names, and company affiliations.
Furthermore, the leak is said to comprise partial mailing databases of The Post Millennial, primarily consisting of .csv files containing leads and emails. While the threat actor has provided a portion of the compromised data, estimated to be 2 GB (compressed) or approximately 7.5 GB uncompressed, they indicate that a complete database dump is available for acquisition.
