In a concerning development, a threat actor has allegedly breached the database of Shivaji College, affiliated with the University of Delhi. The compromised data reportedly encompasses a wide range of information, including student and teacher records, student cards with pictures, surveys, feedback, and additional documents containing Personally Identifiable Information (PII). The attack, which occurred in March 2024, resulted in the exposure of sensitive details such as student names, genders, categories, states of domicile, nationalities, email addresses, program/course names, examination roll numbers, college roll numbers, mobile numbers, and years of joining the college. The total size of the leaked data is reported to be 5.63 gigabytes, comprising approximately 3,651 student entries.
