A threat actor on a prominent cybercrime forum has allegedly put administrative access to the Togolese Republic’s government systems up for sale. The seller is asking for $1,000 in Monero (XMR) for the access, claiming it is a “first-time breach/leak.” The post provides contact details and a cryptocurrency wallet for the transaction, indicating a serious intent to sell the high-level access to the government’s digital infrastructure.
The target of this alleged breach is the government of the Togolese Republic, a nation located in West Africa. Gaining administrative-level access could potentially allow malicious actors to access sensitive government data, manipulate official websites, disrupt public services, and launch further cyberattacks.
