A threat actor has allegedly breached the database of Ada Yazılım, a prominent Turkish software company, and has put the data up for sale on a dark web forum. Founded in 1994 in Istanbul, Turkey, Ada Yazılım is a key player in the country’s insurance industry, providing essential management software for leading insurance brokers and agencies to manage policies, payments, and digital workflows. The alleged incident exposes the sensitive information of numerous clients and their customers.
The scale of the breach is significant, with the perpetrator claiming to have exfiltrated a total of 341,471 documents. This dataset reportedly contains information on approximately 129,712 customers, 193,059 insurance policies, and 18,700 payment records. The compromised information is highly sensitive and could expose individuals to a high risk of identity theft and fraud. The leaked data allegedly includes:
