The RansomHouse extortion group has claimed responsibility for a cyberattack against Victorian Chemical (Vicchem). Based in Melbourne, Australia, Vicchem is a specialist manufacturer and global marketer of agricultural and industrial chemical products, founded in 1933.
In a message posted to its leak site, the group addressed the company’s management directly, stating, “it seems that your IT department decided to conceal the incident that took place in your company.” The post serves as a public extortion attempt, warning the company to contact them to prevent a data leak.
According to the group, the compromised data includes:
- Confidential data
- Projects documents
The group claims the data was encrypted on October 23, 2025, and has provided “Evidence packs” for download on their site.
