Amarillo College PRLEA Data Breach Exposes Law Enforcement Info

Amarillo College Panhandle Regional Law Enforcement Academy (PRLEA), a premier training institution for peace officers in the Texas Panhandle, has allegedly suffered a significant data compromise. A database containing approximately 11,253 event registration records, primarily dating back to 2020, was recently leaked online by an unidentified party. The academy serves as a central hub for training and certifying law enforcement personnel across several counties.

The allegedly compromised data includes a wide array of personally identifiable information (PII) and professional details belonging to law enforcement officers and registrants:

  • Full names

  • Ranks and position titles

  • Agency or organization names

  • Work and mobile phone numbers

  • Email addresses

  • Home addresses

  • Dates of birth

  • Gender

  • TCOLE PID numbers

  • Last four digits of Social Security Numbers

  • Event registration timestamps and course details

  • Internal notes and supervisor information
