Cactus Ransomware Group Claims Three High-Profile Victims

The Cactus ransomware group has allegedly struck again, announcing three high-profile victims in their latest series of attacks. The targeted companies span across the United States, Denmark, and Italy, with substantial ransom demands and significant data breaches.

Reawire.com (USA)

Reawire is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of magnet and nonferrous wire products

  • Company Revenue: $100 million
  • Data Compromised: 100GB
  • Data Disclosed: Less than 1%
  • Details: The stolen data reportedly includes personal identifiable information, employees’ personal files, corporate agreements, project details, financial documents, personnel data, and corporate correspondence.

Sky-light.com (Denmark)

Sky-Light have supplied some of Europe’s most demanding pharmaceutical and food manufacturing companies.

  • Company Revenue: $26.4 million
  • Data Compromised: 50GB
  • Data Disclosed: Less than 1%
  • Details: The breached data is said to encompass personal identifiable information, corporate agreements, project details, financial documents, and personal files of employees and executives, along with corporate correspondence.

Sofidel.com (Italy)

The Sofidel Group is one of the leading manufacturers of paper for hygienic and domestic use worldwide.

  • Company Revenue: $3 billion
  • Data Compromised: 74GB
  • Data Disclosed: Less than 1%
  • Details: According to the group, the compromised data includes personal identifiable information, financial documents, employees’ and executives’ personal files, customer information, and corporate correspondence.

The Cactus group has provided a glimpse of the data they claim to possess, although only a small fraction has been disclosed so far.
