Unknowns group has announced its intention to launch cyber attacks against Ukraine, initiating a campaign called “Tsunami” and citing it as retaliation for the terrorist attack in Moscow. The group allegedly conducted DDoS attacks on hosts in Ukraine, as well as on websites of Ukrainian hospitals and banks.
The targeted hosts include the main authentication gateway for Ukrainians (id.gov.ua) and the primary hosting service in Ukraine (gmhost.ua). Furthermore, hospitals such as the Unified Portal of Medical Services (helsi.me) and the All-Ukrainian Register of Medical Institutions (medregistry.org.ua and medregistry.infomed.ck.ua) have reportedly been subjected to cyber assaults. Among the targeted banks are PrivatBank (privatbank.ua) and Ukrgasbank (www.ukrgasbank.com).
