An unidentified actor claims to have breached Cell Journal, a scientific publication by Iran’s Royan Company. The Royan Company is a well-known public research institute in Iran specializing in reproductive biomedicine and stem cell research, making this a potentially sensitive data leak within the scientific and medical community.
According to the threat actor’s post, the compromised database is being offered for $2,000. The exfiltrated data reportedly contains a variety of sensitive information, including users, contacts, and messages, with samples showing usernames, email addresses, and hashed passwords.
