The Sarcoma ransomware group claims to have breached Charter Industrial Supply, a U.S.-based, family-owned distributor. The company specializes in industrial and hydraulic hose and fittings, serving diverse markets including construction, military, and original equipment manufacturing (OEM).
According to the actor, a 67 GB archive containing files and SQL databases was stolen during the attack. The allegedly compromised data includes:
- Corporate files and internal documents
- SQL databases
- Financial records, including contracts, purchase orders, and budget proposals
- Proprietary technical and engineering drawings
- Client and partner information
- Employee personally identifiable information (PII), including a driver’s license scan
