A threat actor has allegedly put up for sale a data leak affecting the Chilean municipality. The post, published on a dark web forum, claims that the personal data of 570,000 individuals have been compromised, with 200,000 of these records reportedly including vehicle information. The entire database is being offered for $2,600.
The stolen data, reportedly in CSV format, is said to contain various sensitive details. According to the threat actor’s post, the dump includes columns such as customer IDs, mailing addresses, emails, hashed passwords, and browser details, among others. The leak also includes timestamps of when emails were sent, read, and when links within those emails were clicked, suggesting that the data could be used for highly targeted phishing campaigns.
