A threat actor has allegedly breached Team 4 Security, a prominent security services provider based in Egypt. The company, known for its extensive services including guarding, cash-in-transit, and integrated security solutions, is a major player in the country’s security sector. In a post on a specialized forum, the attackers claimed to have delved into the company’s systems, acquiring files, secrets, and other sensitive information that had been “hidden for years.”
The threat actor has issued a 24-hour ultimatum, demanding a ransom of $2350. If the payment is not made within the specified timeframe, the attackers have threatened to publicly release all the stolen data. They further warned they would send a copy of the allegedly exfiltrated information to Team 4 Security’s competitors, potentially exposing sensitive corporate strategies and vulnerabilities. The post ominously suggests that the reveal will “change everything you know about this field” and expose every secret and vulnerability.
