IntelBroker Claimed to Have Leaked Database of the Virginia Dept. of Elections

A threat actor, IntelBroker, is claiming to have database of the Virginia Dept. of Elections. According to the data post published on a dark web forum. The leaker stated that the decision to release the data was made to prevent further scamming and gatekeeping of the database by other malicious actors.

The compromised data reportedly includes detailed information on election candidates and results. Specifically, the data set consists of 65,000 lines and contains fields such as Candidate ID, Candidate Name, Total Votes, Party, Write-In Vote, Locality Code, Locality Name, Precinct ID, Precinct Name, District ID, District Type, District Name, Office ID, Office Title, Election ID, Election Type, Election Date, Election Name, and Number of Seats.

Authorities and the Virginia Department of Elections have yet to comment on the breach and its potential implications. In the meantime, the leaked data remains accessible, posing ongoing risks to the affected individuals and the electoral system.
