A dark web forum has reportedly become the latest venue for a significant data leak, allegedly involving a Japanese betting database. A threat actor has claimed responsibility for the leak, offering what they describe as a trove of sensitive user data.
According to the forum post, the alleged database dump includes detailed records in PDF and CSV formats, with a total of 2,791,393 entries. The dataset reportedly contains user credentials, email addresses, IP addresses, and other information linked to Japan-based betting platform users. The threat actor has provided three sample sets with varying entry counts.
The threat actor has allegedly put the database up for sale, directing potential buyers to contact them via Telegram or private message on the forum.
