A threat actor claims to have breached and exfiltrated data from the National Union of Israeli Students (NUIS), the representative body for approximately 400,000 students across Israel.
The actor alleges that 132,000 rows of data were stolen from the organization’s database and has put the information up for sale. The post announcing the breach also claims that a ransom demand was left within the NUIS financial systems.
According to the actor, the compromised data includes a wide range of sensitive personal and corporate information. The allegedly exfiltrated files contain:
- Full names
- Email addresses
- Phone numbers
- Physical addresses
- Student PII (Personally Identifiable Information)
- Vendor bank account and contact details
- Internal financial records and ledgers
- Vendor agreements and operational documents
