Qilin Ransomware Allegedly Targets 11 International Organizations

The notorious Qilin ransomware group has allegedly claimed responsibility for compromising the systems of five distinct organizations across the United States. This widespread attack highlights the indiscriminate nature of ransomware operations, targeting entities ranging from local government to specialized manufacturing and legal services.

  • Halvorsen Family Law Group: A small firm dedicated to personalized client care in family legal matters, where confidentiality is paramount.
  • WH Rogers Sheet Metal: A company with over 50 years of experience in custom metal fabrication and an ASME certification.
  • City of Green River, Utah: A municipal government serving its community, businesses, and government, potentially impacting public services and sensitive data.
  • The Paul Wilkinson Law Firm: A Denver-based personal injury firm handling sensitive client information related to accidents.
  • ProActive Solutions USA: An ISO 9001 certified manufacturer and distributor of chemicals and health products for the farm and food industries, operating in 22 states.

The origin of the Qilin ransomware group is widely believed to be Russia.

The leaked data, as allegedly posted by the Qilin group, includes a variety of sensitive information depending on the victim:
