A post recently published on a dark web forum has drawn attention by allegedly offering access to a vast database from Peru’s National Registry of Identification and Civil Status (RENIEC). The post, shared by a threat actor, claims to contain personal data on millions of Peruvian citizens, including highly sensitive information such as full names, birthdates, civil statuses, addresses, and even information on parents.
According to the post, this dataset consists of over 37 million entries. The data fields purportedly include:
- DNI (National Identification Number)
- Full Name (Paternal and Maternal Surnames, Given Names)
- Birth Information (Date and Location)
- Registration and Expiration Dates of the DNI
- Address and Civil Status
- Gender and Parental Details
The threat actor also included sample from the alleged leak.
